Selling Us Your Collection
At The Rock Box, we are keen to buy your vinyl (and CD) collections if they are in a good sellable condition. There are three different ways you can sell your goods to us at The Rock Box:
1. Bring your collection to the store
We’re located in Camberley within the main shopping centre (The Square) and are easily accessible by bus or train. We’re open six days a week. If you have a large collection it may be worth calling us first on 01276 26628 to let us know you are coming and we can advise a good time to come and visit us. Please bring ID with your address on it, such as a driving licence or utilities bill.
2. Give us a ring
Call 01276 26628 and we’ll be able to give you a rough idea of whether your records are worth selling, and then advise you as to the next step. Please bear in mind that records have to be in at least very good condition to be worth good money, unless they’re ultra-rare. Before you call please have a careful look at the records you want to sell so you can tell us their condition and the names of the artists.
3. Email us (or use the contact form) a list of the records / CDs you wish to sell
Email us at store@rockbox.co.uk and we’ll reply with suggestions about how to proceed. For large collections we can make house calls where we will bring the collection back to store & value. For smaller quantities we’ll usually ask you to bring the records to the store or to post them to us. If you have a very large collection we won’t expect you to email us a full list but a detailed description with information about what artists and genres will be useful.
Your email should include the following:
- Your name
- Email address to contact you on
- A telephone number
- Format(s) of your collection (CD, LP etc)
- List with artist / title where feasible
The more information that you can provide to us, the easier it will be for us to advise.
You can also contact us using the contact form on the site here.
However, at the end of the day, the final valuation will also be based on physically seeing what you have. It’s extremely difficult to give a definitive answer on value based on lists or a phone conversation and any estimate provided will purely be that – an estimation.
